Pop-up Dinner Series 2015

It's been an exciting year so far! In between vending at markets and catering private events we get to do what we love the most - host special themed dinners and invite our friends and families! We really tried to push ourselves to create interesting experiences for our guests through the two dinners we hosted this year."Just Like Mama Makes" was a prix fixe dinner inspired by the simple classic dishes we ate growing up, and "Southern Soiree" was a vintage cocktail party where we served southern inspired snacks and featured cocktails. We couldn't have accomplished either of these without our lovely hosts for each event! Here's a photo re-cap of them both:

Our talented friend Katrina Cervoni took the photos for our posters and the lovely Emma Sherman did our hair!

Carlos was half of our host team at Cafe Con Leche, who also make No. 7 Hot Sauce!

First course: Shaved crudite salad in a buttermilk ranch dressing.

Classic tomato soup with creme fraiche was served with the main course.

Our almost-famous triple decker grilled cheese sandwich with our homemade tomato jam and aged cheddar!

Dessert was a loaded banana split with a homemade ice cream trio, bruleed banana, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and candy dust.

Our other talented photographer friend Liza Semechko took our poster photo this time around, hair by Emma Sherman.

We had our homemade nuts & bolts snack bowls at each table for nibbles.

Oyster jamabalaya on the half shell.

Ted and Patty came all the way from Brampton!

Our spiced sweet potato bundt cakes with molasses icing.

Shrimp & grit hush puppies with creole spiced squash puree

Fried chicken wings with buttermilk ranch dressing and sour honey.

Beautiful Erika Morey!

What's a party without our triple decker grilled cheese!? This time we made our own pimento cheese.

Our team at the end of the night, they did great!

Stay tuned for more pop-ups in the new year!

  1. Oh my goodness! This Pop-Up dinner series looks fabulous. All the foods are just mouth-watering. You know I love doing parties but I am quite bad at hosting parties so I always prefer getting professional help for the arrangements. Now I am thinking to hire a planner for upcoming early summer holiday party.
